OUR PRINCIPLES
Support Sick Children
SGC Foundation support sick Children through hosting charitable golf tournaments and silent auctions for local children’s hospitals with donations being sent to local hospital to help the sick children. All of the donations are used for local hospitals to help sick children in their hospital and their program that needs the donations most. None of the donations are used to cover hospital administration costs.
SGC Foundation believes
Fun Charity First . . . . . Children Always
How Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Work
There are 170 local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals see sixty-two children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute. Whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals provide comfort, treatment and hope to millions of sick kids. In fact, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals treat one in 10 children in North America each year.
More than 10 million kids enter a children’s hospital like Children’s National Health System across North America every year. To provide the best care for kids, children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has helped fill those funding gaps by raising more than $7 billion, most of it $1 at a time through Miracle Balloon icon campaigns. Its various fundraising partners and programs support the nonprofit’s mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Every Day Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals treat:
* Kids with Trauma 16,200
* Kids with Diabetes 935
* Kids with Cancer 2,128
* Kids for surgeries 2,329
* Babies in NICU 925
